# Schedule posts to every network

> Schedule one post to every network, from Instagram and TikTok to Bluesky and Discord, up to 12 months ahead, from the composer or your AI assistant.

Write a post once and have it go out to every network at the time you choose.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **In short:** Write the post, pick the accounts, choose Later and a time up to 12 months ahead. PostMesh sends it within a minute of that time and shows each account's result in Posts.

## Schedule from the composer

One scheduled post · sent within 1 minute

**1. Pick the accounts**

Open New post and select the accounts this post goes to.

**2. Write the post once**

Give any network [its own caption](https://postmesh.app/docs/captions-per-network.md) if it needs one.

**3. Choose a time**

Under When, choose Later, then a quick time or a date and time. Times are in your device's time zone.

**4. Check each network**

Fix anything marked Needs a look.

**5. Schedule**

Select Schedule. The post appears in Posts and on your Calendar.

## Set your usual time

In Settings, Publishing, set the time the composer suggests, and turn on **Open the composer in schedule mode** if you schedule more than you post right away.

## Schedule from your AI assistant

[Connect PostMesh](https://postmesh.app/docs/mcp-setup.md) to Claude, Cursor or Codex, then ask in plain words. Times like `tomorrow 9am` work, at least a minute ahead and within 12 months. Assistants send text posts to Facebook Pages, Threads, Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord.

```text Prompt theme={null}
Post this to my LinkedIn and X tomorrow at 9am: "We just shipped scheduled publishing."
```

```json MCP request theme={null}
{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "schedule_post",
    "arguments": {
      "content": "We just shipped scheduled publishing.",
      "platforms": ["linkedin", "twitter"],
      "scheduled_at": "tomorrow 9am"
    }
  }
}
```

## What happens at publish time

PostMesh checks its queue every minute and sends each due post to every account you picked. Each account succeeds or fails on its own, so one network's error never stops the others.

> [!NOTE]
>
> YouTube works differently: the video uploads straight away as private, and YouTube makes it public at the time you picked.

## Change or cancel

Until a post goes out, open it in Posts. Select Edit to change it in the composer, then select Save changes. A scheduled post keeps its photos and video, so to change those, select Move to drafts instead. Select Cancel schedule to stop it. YouTube posts can be changed too: PostMesh updates the private video on your channel.

## Duplicate a post

Open any post in Posts or Calendar and select Duplicate. PostMesh saves a copy to Drafts with its text, captions, photos and video, accounts and settings, set for the next free posting time, and opens it in New post. To pick another day, open the menu next to Duplicate. On the calendar, hover a post and select Duplicate. A copy counts toward your plan's drafts.

## Questions

> [accordion] How far ahead can I schedule?
>
> Up to 12 months.

> [accordion] Can each network get different text?
>
> Yes. Give a network its own caption in the composer, or pass platform\_captions from your assistant.

> [accordion] What if one network fails?
>
> The others still publish. The failed one shows its reason in Posts, and Retry sends again only to it.
