Yes. PostMesh publishes photos, carousels and Reels to Instagram professional accounts through Instagram’s official API, right away or at a time you schedule up to 12 months ahead. It posts automatically, with no phone reminder, and each post is up to 20 photos and videos.

## What you need

- An Instagram professional account (Business or Creator). A personal account has to switch to professional in the Instagram app first.
- Your Instagram login, entered on Instagram’s own sign-in screen. No Facebook Page is needed.

- **Each post:** Up to 20 photos and videos. Instagram needs a photo or video, so text-only posts can’t be sent.
- **Photos:** Any JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF up to 40 MB. Instagram takes JPEG up to 8 MB, 4:5 to 1.91:1, and gets a JPEG copy that fits when a photo doesn’t.
- **Video:** MP4 or MOV, 3 seconds to 15 minutes, up to 300 MB. A video on its own is published as a Reel and shared to your feed.
- **Carousels:** 2 to 20 photos and videos in one post, each cropped to the first one’s shape.
- **Scheduling:** Up to 12 months ahead. PostMesh sends it within a minute of the time you pick.
- **Analytics:** Likes and comments for posts sent from PostMesh.

## How to post to Instagram

1. **Connect Instagram.** Sign in with Instagram and approve PostMesh. We never see your password.
2. **Open New post.** Pick the Instagram accounts you want, plus any other networks.
3. **Write the caption.** Up to 2,200 characters, 30 hashtags and 20 mentions. Give Instagram its own version if the other networks need different text.
4. **Add media.** Add up to 20 photos and videos. Instagram needs media; a video on its own becomes a Reel.
5. **Post now or schedule.** Under When, choose Now to send it right away, or Later and a time up to 12 months ahead.
6. **Check the result.** Posts shows whether Instagram accepted it. If it failed, Retry failed sends again only to the accounts that failed.

## Fixes for common errors

- **Instagram login was cancelled or blocked:** Connect again and accept every permission Instagram asks for.
- **“Instagram needs at least one photo or video”:** Add a photo or a video. Instagram doesn’t take text-only posts.
- **A video is rejected:** Use MP4 or MOV between 3 seconds and 15 minutes, under 300 MB.

## What PostMesh can see

- **Sees:** Your Instagram username, profile photo and verification badge, and the likes and comments on posts you send from PostMesh.
- **Never sees:** Your password, your direct messages, or posts you didn’t send from PostMesh.

### Do I need a Facebook Page?

No. PostMesh connects with Instagram Login, so a Business or Creator account is enough.

### Can I post carousels?

Yes. Add 2 to 20 photos and videos and they go out as one carousel, each cropped to the first one’s shape.

### Where do videos appear?

A video on its own is published as a Reel and shared to your feed.

### Does PostMesh post to Instagram automatically?

### How far ahead can I schedule Instagram posts?

Up to 12 months. PostMesh checks its queue every minute and sends each post when it’s due.

Yes. Pick every account you want in New post. Each one counts toward your plan’s connected-account limit.

### Can I change a scheduled post?

Yes. Open it in Posts, select Edit, make your changes and select Save changes. A post that has started sending can’t be changed.
