# Reddit post scheduler: schedule Reddit posts

Yes. PostMesh posts text, link, image and video posts to your Reddit profile or to communities you can post in, right away or scheduled up to 12 months ahead. It shows each community’s flairs and checks its posting rules before sending.

## What you need

- A Reddit account.
- Permission to post in the community you choose. PostMesh checks the community’s rules, like required flair and allowed post types, before it posts.

## Reddit at a glance

- **Account:** Any Reddit account, connected with Reddit sign-in.
- **Where:** Up to 5 communities you pick from your list or type in, each with its own title and flair, or your own profile when you leave it blank.
- **Title:** Up to 300 characters. It starts as the first line of your caption.
- **Body:** Up to 40,000 characters. A body that is only a link becomes a link post.
- **Each post:** Text only, up to 20 photos or one video.
- **Photos:** Any JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF up to 40 MB. Reddit takes JPEG, PNG or GIF up to 20 MB, and gets a JPEG copy that fits when a photo doesn’t. Two or more go out as a gallery.
- **Video:** MP4, up to 1 GB.
- **Flair and rules:** Pick a flair, and PostMesh checks the community’s rules, like required flair and allowed post types, before it posts.
- **Options:** NSFW or spoiler tags and a first comment posted under it once it’s live.
- **Scheduling:** Up to 12 months ahead. PostMesh sends it within a minute of the time you pick.
- **Analytics:** Score and comments for posts sent from PostMesh.

## How to post to Reddit

1. **Connect Reddit.** Sign in with Reddit and approve PostMesh. We never see your password.
2. **Open New post.** Pick the Reddit accounts you want, plus any other networks.
3. **Add a title and community.** Write a title up to 300 characters, pick a community (or leave it blank for your profile), and choose a flair if the community asks for one.
4. **Add media.** Add up to 20 photos (JPEG, PNG or GIF up to 20 MB) or one video (MP4, up to 1 GB), or keep it text only. A body that is only a link makes a link post.
5. **Post now or schedule.** Under When, choose Now to send it right away, or Later and a time up to 12 months ahead.
6. **Check the result.** Posts shows whether Reddit accepted it. If it failed, Retry failed sends again only to the accounts that failed.

## Fixes for common errors

- **The community requires flair:** Pick a flair in the Reddit options before posting.
- **The community doesn’t allow this type of post:** Switch to a text or link post, or choose another community.
- **The image didn’t upload to Reddit:** PostMesh sends the post as text instead. Check the image is JPEG, PNG or GIF up to 20 MB.

## What PostMesh can see

- **Sees:** Your Reddit username, the communities you belong to and their flairs, and the score and comments on posts you send from PostMesh.

PostMesh shows the community’s flairs and warns you before posting if one is required.

### Can I post video to Reddit?

Yes. MP4, up to 1 GB. A Reddit post carries photos or a video, not both.

### Does PostMesh post to Reddit automatically?

Yes. It posts through Reddit’s official API at the time you pick. There’s no phone reminder to tap.

### How far ahead can I schedule Reddit posts?

Up to 12 months. PostMesh checks its queue every minute and sends each post when it’s due.

### Can I post to several Reddit accounts at once?

Yes. Pick every account you want in New post. Each one counts toward your plan’s connected-account limit.

### Can I change a scheduled post?

Yes. Open it in Posts, select Edit, make your changes and select Save changes. A post that has started sending can’t be changed.
