# Threads scheduler: schedule Threads posts > Publish text, photo and video posts to Threads, now or on a schedule. Yes. PostMesh publishes text, photo and video posts to Threads through the official Threads API, right away or scheduled up to 12 months ahead. Each post can be up to 500 characters, with no media or up to 20 photos and videos. ## What you need - A Threads profile. ## Threads at a glance - **Account:** Your Threads profile, connected with Threads sign-in. - **Text:** Up to 500 characters. - **Each post:** Text only or up to 20 photos and videos. - **Photos:** Any JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF up to 40 MB. Threads takes JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB, and gets a JPEG copy that fits when a photo doesn’t. - **Video:** MP4 or MOV, 1 second to 5 minutes, up to 1 GB. - **Scheduling:** Up to 12 months ahead. PostMesh sends it within a minute of the time you pick. - **Analytics:** Views, likes, replies and reposts, when Threads returns them. ## How to post to Threads 1. **Connect Threads.** Sign in with Threads and approve PostMesh. We never see your password. 2. **Open New post.** Pick the Threads accounts you want, plus any other networks. 3. **Write the post.** Up to 500 characters. Give Threads its own shorter version if your main caption is longer. 4. **Add media.** Add up to 20 photos and videos, or keep it text only. 5. **Post now or schedule.** Under When, choose Now to send it right away, or Later and a time up to 12 months ahead. 6. **Check the result.** Posts shows whether Threads accepted it. If it failed, Retry failed sends again only to the accounts that failed. ## Not supported - Multi-post threads ## Fixes for common errors - **Threads could not connect:** Try again and accept the permissions Threads asks for. - **The caption is too long:** Threads allows 500 characters. Not yet. Each PostMesh post becomes one Threads post. ### What’s the character limit? 500 characters. PostMesh warns you before you send if a caption is too long. ### Does PostMesh post to Threads automatically? Yes. It posts through Threads’s official API at the time you pick. There’s no phone reminder to tap. ### How far ahead can I schedule Threads posts? Up to 12 months. PostMesh checks its queue every minute and sends each post when it’s due. ### Can I post to several Threads accounts at once? Yes. Pick every account you want in New post. Each one counts toward your plan’s connected-account limit. ### Can I change a scheduled post? Yes. Open it in Posts, select Edit, make your changes and select Save changes.
