# Instagram grid maker

Canonical: https://postmesh.app/tools/instagram-grid-maker

Split one image into 3, 6 or 9 tiles that form a single picture on your profile grid, numbered from top left to bottom right.

## How it works

The newest post appears top left on your profile, so a grid has to be posted from the last tile to the first. The maker numbers tiles in reading order. For a reverse chronological profile, publish from the last tile to the first and check the final crop.

Tiles can be square or portrait. It runs in your browser, so the image is never uploaded.

## Steps

1. Choose an image.

2. Pick 1, 2 or 3 rows and the tile shape.

3. Download the tiles; for a reverse chronological grid, start with the last tile.

## Questions

### In what order do I post the tiles?

From tile 1 upward. Tile 1 is the bottom-right one, so the last post lands top left.

### Is my image uploaded?

No. It’s split in your browser.
